Bringing together the best of in-person and virtual approaches to community, the staff and students of Sir Richard W. Scott CES (SRWS) have joined together to create a series of four game nights dedicated to parent/student engagement.
Using the power of video to showcase their efforts, SRWS staff and students scripted and produced a variety of fresh and fun “commercial breaks” promoting these special events.
A busy round of popular ‘Black-Out Bingo’ (where players must fill a whole card to win) launched the virtual series on March 9th. Three lucky winners were treated to gift cards courtesy of the Catholic School Council.
“Our students are so excited to be back and participating,” said SRWS Principal Catherine Donovan. “We really wanted to offer a no-cost night of fun and prizes, one that brings families together, and connects our school community. Our Bingo night was a huge success, and preparations are already underway for the next virtual event.”
Upcoming editions of SRWS Virtual Family Fun Nights include Bake-Off, Fitness and Books themed challenges. Details at twitter.com/SRWS_YCDSB or srws.ycdsb.ca/
Congratulations to all at Sir Richard W. Scott CES!
